WHO WE ARE
Claxy is a Brazilian native, Germany based electronic music duo formed by Clara Valente (vocals, keys) and Gui Gautreaux (percussion, programming).
Between the vibrant chaos of Rio de Janeiro and the calm precision of Germany, Claxy shapes a cinematic sound where organic house, dream-pop, and shoegaze atmospheres intertwine with bilingual (English/Portuguese) vocals, Afro-Brazilian rhythms, and their roots in Música Popular Brasileira.
With releases on Natura Viva and Anjunadeep, the duo first caught attention for blending songwriting with an electronic pulse. Performances at SXSW (USA) and on stages across Europe have established Claxy as a magnetic live act, where tactile percussion, layered synths, and Clara’s vocal presence unfold into narratives that grow organically — more as emotional progressions than explosive climaxes.
Their new single, “Sugar for the Pill,” is out on Embassy One. Crafted with fellow Brazilian and Grammy alumnus Julia Borelli as additional producer, mixing, and mastering engineer, it heightens their signature blend of intimacy and scale.
At its core, Claxy is storytelling in motion: music that flows between the analog and the digital, the human and the ethereal — always driven by the desire to turn emotion into sound.
